Economics is all about money. How you gain money and how you lose money. It is about how an individual or a group get the things they want to buy and the services needed and wanted. Economics help paved the way how to help people understand why changes happen and why things are the way they are. It is also about the use and misuse of money. From private sectors, funding, schools, hospitals to houses in our own home town. Economics always has something to say about these.
But then, economics is not just all about money but decisions made by business (big or small) or government sectors. It’s about making the right decision, decision about the differences of resources limited. The current resources that we have to have are limited to use in our daily lives in one way or the other. To create helpful products and services to mix knowledge with resources includes talent and time available, the houses and land, buildings, and other tools.
Almost every aspect of our daily lives economics is part of it. On the bigger degree, when the economy does good, a lot of people can benefit from it in terms of higher wages, more job offers, and great services. When the economy is not good, benefits would gradually drop in terms of the rise of unemployment and poor quality of public service.
Choices are important on how much time we devote ourselves to education or school, work and play, the amount of money spent and the amount of money saved, how to mix leisure and time and how to mix resources to create goods and services, and how to choose and shape up the stable taxes and the role of government.
Economics is the focal point of intrigues internationally. Either we join globalization or oil price hike or debts in the third world.
Economics is the study of how people choose to use resources.
More often, people use their resources to improve their betterment of their well-being. This includes the satisfaction consumers get from the products and services they choose to spend leisure, community and family, including the time spent from their jobs. The effective services and services given by the government and people sometimes however show ways how to use their resources ways that their well being don’t improve.
Well-being is captured measurably by Economists, learning how a well-being increased overtime and evaluating the well-being of the poor and of the rich.
Economics is much needed as a person and as a society. In our ever growing wants and needs we need the individuals and as a society experience what scarcity is all about. From the scarcity of goods and services, raw materials or time and so on. How we make choices is examined carefully by Economics: an old house or a new condominium unit?, hand me downs or new clothes?, authentic shoes or class A shoes?, new car or college tuition? More pavements or more highways? More leisure or more income? That is why economics gives us ways of understanding how to make the greatest use of resources, work effort of the people and machinery.
